Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 October 2026

42Live is the trading name of 42 ITS Ltd. We take your privacy seriously, and this page explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, what we do with it and the rights you have over it. It is written to be read, not skimmed past, so please do read it.

Who we are

42 ITS Ltd, trading as 42Live, is the “data controller” for the personal information described on this page. That means we decide how and why it is used.

  • Company number 05082206, registered in England and Wales
  • Registered office: Millways, Cringle Lodge, Cringle Lane, Stoke Rochford, Lincolnshire NG33 5EF
  • Email: enquiries@42live.co.uk
  • Phone: +44 (0)7703 341 365

If you have any question about this policy or about your information, those are the ways to reach us.

What this policy covers

It covers this website, 42live.co.uk; anyone who gets in touch with us; our customers; and people who watch a live stream or video that we produce on a customer’s behalf.

The information we collect

When you get in touch

If you send us an enquiry, email us or phone us, we keep what you give us: typically your name, the company you work for, your email address, your phone number and whatever you tell us about the event or job. The enquiry form on our Contact page sends what you type straight into our own quoting system, which we run ourselves; nobody else sees it.

When you become a customer

To do the work and invoice for it we hold your contact details, the details of the event and the venue, our correspondence with you, and our billing records. We invoice for our work; we do not take card payments through this website and we do not hold your card details.

When you visit this website, and cookies

This website is a set of plain pages. It sets no cookies of its own and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Like any website, the company that hosts it keeps technical records of each visit — the IP address the request came from, the browser used and the page asked for — which are used to keep the site running and secure, and are kept for a short time.

Our enquiry form sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Two pages embed content from other companies, and those companies may set their own cookies when the page loads: the map (Google Maps) on the Contact page, and a video player (Dacast) on the Pay-Per-View page. Their own privacy policies apply to what they collect. The notice at the foot of the page lets you accept or decline them; if you decline, the map and the player stay switched off until you choose to show them, and nothing else on the site changes. Your choice is remembered in your browser for a year, and you can clear it by clearing your browser’s site data.

When you watch something we produce

Much of our work is streaming live events for our customers. If you watch one of those streams, the platform delivering it — our own streaming platform, or a service such as Dacast, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn or Vimeo — may record technical information such as your IP address, the device you used and how long you watched. Where the event is private, the customer who commissioned it decides what is collected about its audience and we handle that information on their instructions; where it is on a public platform, that platform’s own privacy policy applies. If you register or pay to watch an event, the organiser will tell you how that information is handled.

Events we are hired to film or stream are often recorded. If you are attending an event and are concerned about being recorded, please speak to the organiser.

How we use it, and why we are allowed to

The law requires us to have a reason for using your personal information. Ours are these:

  • To answer your enquiry and quote for the work. This is in our legitimate interest as a business, and is a step you have asked us to take before any contract.
  • To deliver the work you have booked and to invoice for it. This is necessary for the contract between us.
  • To keep the records the law requires us to keep, such as tax and accounting records. This is a legal obligation.
  • To keep this website and our systems secure. This is in our legitimate interest.
  • To tell existing customers about services like the ones they have used. This is in our legitimate interest, and you can ask us to stop at any time. We do not send marketing to people who have not dealt with us.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for automated decision-making.

Who we share it with

We share information only where we need to, with:

  • Companies that provide services to us, who handle it on our instructions and may not use it for their own purposes. They include the UK company that hosts our quoting system, our accounting software, Google Workspace (email and file storage), Cloudflare (which hosts this website), and the streaming and hosting services that carry our video, such as Amazon Web Services and Dacast.
  • Our professional advisers, such as our accountant, where needed.
  • The authorities, where the law requires it.

Where it is kept

Most of your information is held in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Some of the services we use, including Google, Amazon Web Services and Cloudflare, may process information outside the UK. When that happens we rely on the UK government’s adequacy decisions for the country concerned, or on the standard contractual safeguards approved for UK transfers, so that your information is protected to the same standard.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to two years, so that we can pick the conversation up if you come back to us.
  • Customer records: six years after the end of the last job, which is how long the tax authorities require us to keep business records.
  • Website visit records: a short time, held by our hosting provider.

When we no longer need information we delete it or make it anonymous.

Keeping it safe

This website is served over an encrypted connection. Access to the systems that hold your information is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs, and the companies we use are chosen for the security they provide. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable care, and if a breach ever put your rights at risk we would tell you and the Information Commissioner as the law requires.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
  • ask us to delete your information, where we have no good reason to keep it;
  • ask us to limit what we do with it, or object to our using it, in certain circumstances;
  • ask for information you gave us to be passed to you or to another company in a usable form;
  • withdraw your consent, where consent is what we rely on.

To do any of these, email enquiries@42live.co.uk. There is no charge, and we will reply within a month. We may need to check who you are first.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us so that we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator: ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113, or by post to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Children

This website and our services are aimed at businesses and event organisers, not at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Other websites

This website links to other sites, including our social media pages. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for them.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if what we do changes. The date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
